Fellow
author Lauren Willig and I spent a memorable semester teaching
a seminar on "Reading the Historical Romance Novel."
We had an amazing group of students and our weekely discussions
were incredibly interesting. At times, I wasn't sure who was teaching
whom!

Our class was held in Saybrook College, one of the 12 undergraduate
residential colleges of Yale
University. The seminar room is the small double windows to the
left of the archway.

Here's another view of one of the courtyards.

The gothic spires make a distinctive silhouette.

The actual room, complete with a large fireplace!
I loved the quirky stained glass windows. Very compatible with
the
subject of historical romance!.
Another window!

A highlight of the class was having a guest panel of romance luminaries
come talk to the students. Here we all are taking a tour of the
campus:

Wendell
and Loretta Chase.

Loretta's book Mr. Impossible was on our reading list.

Our last class featured a cameo appearance by Fabio!
As you can see, we had a wonderful time together reading and discussing
romance. It was really an unforgettable experience.
